Stormwater360 – A smooth transition

“Make a commitment to clean water.”
Stormwater360 came to us late last year with a view to update their existing website. The site, of interest to the engineering and construction industry, specialises in engineering products e.g. filters, drains and water handing on a commercial scale. The project goal was to produce a better way of displaying their extremely large and complex range of products which have been used across a wide spectrum of projects. In a nutshell, we aimed to make not only a new, smoother user experience, but also a faster, more capable and efficient CMS to help the client keep their site fresh.
Being content heavy, the major focus of ours was to make sure everything was syncing the way that it should – our experience with, and the flexibility of Kentico definitely aided in a fast turnaround for this project. Most of the site’s content and structure came from the client, and at our end it was a standard Kentico build with only a couple of custom bits and pieces in there to iron out the navigation process. The sheer amount of content was the point of difference with the Stormwater360 project, so keeping the lines of communication with the client open was the key for a positive result.
In reflection, we feel we ticked all the boxes the client was looking for - aesthetically the site looks great and it has a nice feeling to it. Once you get the hang of it it’s very easy to get around with lots of pages cross-reference one another. We might not be engineering experts at FM, but it’s fair to say we now know a little more about hydrodynamic separation than your regular Joe Bloggs after this site build.
