Deep Purple Day – It’s rather exclusive
10/03/2011 by Reece Witters
Exclusive: adjective - Admitting only members of a socially restricted or very carefully selected group e.g. an exclusive club.
Although Deep Purple Day is a very small project comparatively, it’s hugely significant in terms of what it means to Craggy Range. It was as a little micro-site built on the back on the main Craggy Range which was built on the Kentico CMS. The focus of this project was to create a registration and information microsite around an initiative called Deep Purple Day – Craggy Range’s club member annual invite-only day at the winery.
It was important that this special offering - to a very exclusive audience - was reflected from a design and user experience perspective. In a healthy collaboration with the friendly folk from Craggy, our designers and concept development teams created a site that very much achieved the luxurious-ness and exclusivity that the Deep Purple Day site and event required.
As I write this, Deep Purple Day is still a month off (April 2011), but it’s fair to say that the deployment from a Federation Media view has been extremely successful - the day has been over-subscribed months out from the event…three cheers to that!
The majority of those registrations have happened online which was that goal of the Deep Purple Day site.
Looking forward, we have a very tight relationship with Craggy anyway and meet with them on a weekly basis. No doubt FM and Craggy Range will be back at the drawing board sometime in the near future to craft up our next project.
